String of pearls, or Senecio Rowleyanus

String of pearls, or Senecio Rowleyanus is a really lovely hanging house plant. Beautifully green it will trail over the planter, so position it from a hook or place on a shelf or bookcase.
The trailing stems have leaves that resemble peas that look like beads, or pearls, hence the common name! These pea like leaves store water, so it can cope with a little neglect.
Very easy to look after...just water every two weeks during the summer and less in the winter, then let it drain so it doesn't sit in water. Your plant will like bright light, preferably a place where it gets some sunlight for an hour or two, but not necessarily all the time. Best to underwater than overwater.
We all have room for this beauty! This plant will help to purify the air around you.
In the Spring you may see small white flowers that have a scent of cinnamon.
Like many plants, all parts are mildly toxic if ingested, so keep away from pets and children.
