Gold Bangle...18ct.
This stunning 18ct Gold Bangle is made from one long piece of 2mm round 18ct gold!
Designed and created in my Norfolk workshop this 18ct gold bangle is a special piece of jewellery to be treasured.
Made as a commissioned piece...a gift for a lucky lady who had previously bought a similar design in silver and her husband wanted to her to have one in 18ct gold, to wear for special occasions! Of course I can make this to order...I would need 2-3 weeks to make and have hallmarked.
The gold is annealed (heated) and then hammered with my treasured Fretz hammer to create small indentations in the gold which really catch the light and sparkle. I then literally wrestle with the gold to bend and form it to the shape I want...when I'm happy with the size and shape I solder the ends of the gold and can then finish forming the shape.
After polishing to create the gorgeous deep golden shine of 18ct gold, the bangle is then sent away for hallmarking at The Goldsmith's Company Assay Office. Hallmarking was first established by Henry 111 in 1238 to regulate the standard of gold and silver wares. I am really proud that my work carries my own maker's mark and the Goldsmith's hallmark, carrying on a centuries old tradition and proof of quality.
This 18ct gold bangle will fit a small/med arm, please contact me on sue@poshplants.com to discuss sizing.
